I bought this chair for my baby since he has severe hypotonia and cannot sit up. A baby bath was impossible since he was slippery in the tub and I had to worry about losing my grip and him smashing his head into either the bath tub or the baby bath tub.

I bought the medium version of the Otter. This chair has mesh and straps that velcro to keep your baby/child upright (they all do). It can sit almost flush on the floor of the bath tub (in addition to higher up); my son likes to kick the water while he's bathing and the chair is the right height for that. You can adjust how far back you want your baby/child to lean or simply put him or her all the way back.

For what I paid, this chair was really worth it. My only complaint is that the hard plastic head rests are simply that--hard plastic--and they are not the most comfortable. However, for this price it's fine...you can add a face cloth or a covering to make the head rests softer. Another thing worth mentioning is that the belt straps, while okay, could be a bit softer material.

All in all, I am satisfied with this product and I would recommend it to others. It's been an enormous help to me.

I purchased this thermometer for use in my medical office. We take the temperature of almost every patient. Ear thermometers are tricky to use and take a lot of practice. Oral thermometers are usually accurate but slow, and require a sheath (cover) for each patient. The Exergen TAT 2000 for Professional use can be cleaned with an alcohol wipe and is the best we have used. NOTE: They also sell a home version of this thermometer. I would get the professional one.

Pros: Well designed, works quickly, easy to handle. Sensitive. Antibacterial head.
Cons: Costly, but worth it. Learning to use this type of thermometer is not difficult, but it takes practice. Fortunately, the manufacturer supports it well with educational materials and web site.
