I bought a Stronglite massage chair 4 years ago. I only used it once per year, at a golf outing. I stored it in a cool dry place and never abused it in any way. After the third year the plastic "uphostery" showed deterioration, and the the fourth year it disintegrated so badly that it just peeled away all over the chair. I assumed the fabric was defective and called Stronglite. They basically told me the warranty was up and were not very nice.

After my last use, I put it out with the trash. I have massage tables more than 12 years old that are still perfect.

Our Maytag Epic Z dryer failed after only a couple of years, displaying a code that Google searching told me meant "replace the motor control board". This is the part, and replacing it was easy. I was a bit worried about getting a reconditioned board rather than a new one, but it seems to be working (and the original was not reliable enough to make me trust the original manufacturer that much).

I wish there were an easy way to send the old board back so that they could recondition it also.
