My dad is elderly and sits most of the day watching tv. He had developed some pressure sores on his bottom. I could get them healed with meds, but they would continue to return, and his bottom was always very sore. I figured with all the people confined to beds or chairs, there must be something out there to help, and I started asking around. Several people mentioned the roho cushion, but would always say "It's very pricey". My comment was always, "if it works, it's worth it." I want to tell you, IT WORKS!! Within a week his sores were healed, and his bottom eventually quit hurting. It has been at least 6 weeks since I purchased it, and his sores have not ever returned. As far as the cost goes, I was able to purchase this exact product over 40% cheaper on Amazon than I could at our local medical supply store. I understand that sometimes you can get a doctor's script for this and get it free or cheaper, however, I didn't want to waste the time going through that rigamarole! If I had any complaints, it would be that I think they could do a little better job in telling you how to adjust it. I did the best I could, and then had my daughter check it (she's an occupational therapist), and seems I did it right, but without her checking it, I would have wondered. Maybe if they added some type of pressure gauge on it, it would help to know if you had it right. But like I said, it truly does work. Thank God, because he was miserable.
