I bought these a few weeks ago. They are sturdy and serve multiple purposes. I love it!

First of all, let me say that I paid less than 40 bucks for the 80 hangers, which was a real bargain. I'm glad I bought at the time, but the price has since gone up.

These are industrial strength hangers- the same kind used in department stores- they can handle weight on them and you don't have to worry about them breaking. Now let me clarify: each hanger can handle a men's 2-3 piece suit, no problem. They can also hold 2 skirts each (the lined, wool or blend kind that can be a bit heavy sometimes).

Do they break? They might. I've had a few fall on the floor and they haven't broken as some are wont to.
In terms of space, the plastic hanger is a little over 1/4 of an inch thick. The clips that hold the skirt/pants are, at their widest, a little over an inch wide, so keep this in mind in terms of closet space. Now because you'll have varying items in your closet, this space might not worry you, but I wanted to note that you need to account for 1 inch of space for each hanger.
I'll be buying the dress hanger of this brand as well, to break up the space a bit between these.

All in all, I am VERY happy with my purchase.
