I have severely arthritic hips (both of them) and walking with a single cane was getting difficult. I wanted to get some crutches because I'm taking a trip shortly and want to be able to move about in our destination. I have found that with these crutches, I'm able to be much more active. Hips still hurt, but I can move along nicely. The "knee rests" are cool. The cushioned handles are surprisingly comfortable. The horns are too funny (but of no use what-so-ever) and the "headlights" are surprisingly useful...add to that the flashy reflectors on the front of each handle and the reflective tape on the forearm cuffs make these crutches safe to use at night. The shock absorbers are OKAY...but they seem to stick at times...not a problem, but it is curious. I may have spilled something sticky down into the mechanism, so I'm not going to call this a negative...I plan to contact the company to see if they have any advice.

No weigh-limit accompanied the documentation, but I am a big man (significantly over the usual weight limit of 250 lbs.) and I put my weight into these things coming down stairs...they hold me securely and I am confident that they are not going to buckle under my weight.
