Echo 3 Wheel Scooter Color: Red Review

I bought this in blue for myself, and am totally pleased with it! The scooter arrived ahead of schedule, was well-packed and had no scratches or marks on it. It is just as described by Seller. I just returned from my first short trip and want to give my observations.

This scooter is excellent, but watch the size carefully. It's a little on the smallish side. I am male, 5'9", about 200 lbs. While the scooter fits me OK, I think if you are much taller or heavier, you might want to consider a larger scooter. The fit between the seat and the handlebar is OK for me, but is a little close. At times, during my short ride, the scooter felt a little top-heavy. The non-tip wheels stabilized the scooter, so I did not tip over, just felt a little unsteady. I'm sure that will get better as I learn how to ride the scooter. However, as I said previously, I don't think this scooter will work for a person much taller or heavier than me.

You will definitely want to get the rear basket because the front basket that comes with the scooter is very small. Otherwise, the controls work as they should and are very easy to use. The battery seems to be holding a good charge, but I haven't gone very far yet on the first charge. The instruction manual is not very complete, so you will have to "figure out" how to do some of the things during assembly; it's not really very hard to figure out, just know that will be necessary. Once "figured out", assembly is easy and I did it without assistance (you might want another person to assist).

I had a couple of very minor issues which the Seller addressed promptly and courteously. I would buy this product again, with the caveats noted. I most definitely would buy from this Seller again.

PS: The manufacturer says not to charge the scooter in an enclosed area. Also, you want to be sure the adapter is sitting on something where it can get ventilation all around, because it gets pretty hot. (This is probably true of all similar devices).

NINE MONTHS LATER: UPDATE. The motor just died all of a sudden. Shoprider offered NO HELP WHATSOEVER!!!!! The attitude seemed to be "TOO BAD". Really! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU EXPECT ANY SORT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
