SnugFleece Original Wool Mattress Pad - Twin Review

I was looking for something to help with sweating and overheating due to a latex topper on my bed. (Note to person who commented on another review about latex sleeping hot--YES it does sleep hot, for some people!). When you first get it the pad is gorgeous, soft and plush. It does smell a little bit like "barnyard" but that's to be expected since it is real wool. It's faint and not bothersome at all. What I like too about this particular pad is the backing is 100% cotton. No polyester at all.

Amazingly, this really does diminish sweating while sleeping, almost 100%. I could not believe it but I was thrilled. However, I still found I slept hot. Not as hot as w/out the wool pad, but still hotter than I'd have liked.

But the worst part is that after about 3 months of use, the wool, which is sewn into the pad in vertical rows, started to bunch up into channels...creating vertical lumps which were very uncomfortable. Of course I tried fluffing the pad and airing it in the sun as recommended. That worked, but only for one night. Then it would bunch up again. I simply cannot be taking off the bedclothes and combing/fluffing/messing with this pad every single night. That should not be necessary.

Of course since this was after the 30-day trial period, Dreamsoft bedding store would not do anything to help (i.e., would not refund or anything).

I'm out $277 because I cannot sleep on this the way it bunches up. I would suggest use caution with this type of wool pad--with the wool sewn into the top, due to it's tendency to clump up into vertical rows which are uncomfortable to sleep on. Also it does not regulate temperature, (at least for me), as well as it should for the price.

Great design, but Catch-22 implementation

I've been using a Remington MS3 shaver for some time, but it's in need of replacement. I thought this Braun shaver would fit the bill. My favorite feature of the Remington is its trimmer setting that lines up with the screens to cut the long hairs the screens can't. I thought the design of this Braun shaver would do the same thing, perhaps even better. While my Remington has three screened cutting sections, this Braun has two - with a third, center section designed to cut the long hairs. It's a great idea and a brilliant design, but it has a problem.

The Braun screens are on a spring cushion - I suppose for comfort - and the manual says to get a close shave you have to press down firmly. This is fine and very comfortable and does render a close shave right up until the screens pop off. Bearing down on the razor invariably causes the top to pop off the razor. This portion of the razor is removable by design, of course, so you can clean the blades. That works just like my old Remington. There is even a "locking" trigger on the front of the screen cap that is meant to lock the cap firmly in place. When I slide the locking mechanism, I can see the cap "hunker down"* onto the razor to imply that it's firmly attached. But, alas, no. It pops off anyway. If I pass the razor lightly enough across my face to keep it from popping off, I can't get a close shave. Or any shave at all, really. Pressing down is required to compress the springs and allow the blades to reach the screens and actually cut something.

Aside from that major design flaw, I really liked the razor. If they ever make one like this that works I would love to have one. Maybe I got a lemon and another sample would have been functional. But as it is, I returned the razor and just received my refund check from the manufacturer.

*Sorry about the regional vernacular. I don't know how to translate "hunker down" from Southern to English. If you didn't understand what I meant, please ask a Southern friend for a translation as a visual representation that can only be demonstrated in person may be necessary. Thank you.

This is the best electric shaver I've ever shaved with bar none.

The first thing that stands out when you look at it is the shaving head, the surface area is 1/2 the size of a pack of cards and it might be mistaken for a small mallet if you get up early and shave in the half light. But it's very light (only 200 grams), probably because the body is made of plastic.

The shaving experience is very good. I've used electric foils for years and this is the best of them. My last shaver was a top of the line Braun and this is much smoother than the Braun, probably due to the surface area of the head and the speed of it's cutters, which is listed at 14K cycles/min or 233 cycles/sec which is amazing. You can hardly feel your whiskers getting cut at all at that speed. The closeness of the shave is good and there is no razor burn. It is speedy as well, I don't have to run the shaver over my face multiple times to get it cut, so overall the shaving experience is excellent: fast, smooth and no razor burn.

Utility: The shaver charges quickly, 100% in a hour as shown the the LED display. You can wash it quickly under the faucet with a dab of liquid soap.

Summary: The most important thing about a shaver is the shaving experience and I have to say this is top notch. In fact, it's so good that I keep looking for extra patches of hair on my face to shave - no hair on my face will be safe with this shaver around!

2 months later...: This is the best shaver ever. It shaves quickly and smoothly. There is no razor burn and unlike the top of the line Braun I had, there are no pulled hairs either. (The Braun experience was also good but I would wince and wait for a pulled hair because there always was one for some reason.) Anyway, I was just shaving and enjoyed the experience so much that I knew I had to update my review.

Flexor Pro Active Back Support Review

I bought this wondering if the reviews online were hype, they weren't. This support works as advertised and works very well.
